Our department is driving significant reform and we are currently recruiting for a number of senior leadership positions that will play a key role in shaping our agency for the future. 

What we’re looking for

We are establishing a pool of highly motivated senior leaders who will play a vital role in driving major reform to deliver on key priorities of our department and the State Government.

The roles we are looking to fill are Senior Executive Service (SES) positions, with both Executive Director and Director opportunities available across the portfolios of Climate and Sustainability, Approvals, and Strategy and Performance. 

The positions offer an attractive remuneration package and a fixed-term appointment for up to five years, with generous options to work from alternative locations.

Leaders in these roles need to:

  • be committed to driving meaningful change while maintaining confidence of stakeholders 
  • be able to build and unify diverse teams of skilled professionals energised by a shared purpose
  • foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement where employees feel empowered to take calculated risks
  • be adaptive and consistently live the department’s values
  • actively guide the strategic direction of the department.

Several positions are ready to be filled immediately, and the pool may be used to fill other vacancies that arise within the next 12 months.
