Temporary System Shutdown

New MyLeave Portal Coming Soon

Portal Transition – Temporary Closure

We’re upgrading our Worker and Employer Portals to a brand-new system. Because of this, the portals will be temporarily unavailable from 27/02/2026 to 18/03/2026.

Please note that you currently are unable to log in or access your account.

No submissions or updates will be possible while the system is unavailable. During this changeover period, long service leave claims processing and payments will be delayed until after 18 March 2026.

Why have we made this change?

Our previous portal reached the end of its lifecycle. The new portal will:

  • Provide improved self-service functionality
  • Allow 24/7 access for all users
  • Enhance security through Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Verification of Identity (VOI)
  • Better protect your personal information

How does this affect you?

During this period:

  • Workers and employers will not be able to access the portals
  • We will have limited access to account information
  • We will be unable to make updates or changes to accounts
  • We will not be able to provide real-time balance or claim updates

If you have an urgent enquiry during this time, please email hi@myleave.wa.gov.au and include the following information:

  • Full name
  • Date of birth
  • Registration number (if known)
  • A clear description of your query

Providing these details will assist us in responding as quickly as possible once the new system is live.

How do you access the new Portal?

Upon Go-Live, we will email you an invitation link. You will be asked to verify your email address and mobile number and to set up a password.

User Guides will be available soon to help you become familiar with the new Portal.

We appreciate your patience and understanding during this transition.

What are the Worker Portal changes?

New Online Claims

You will be able to submit claims directly through your Worker Portal and track their progress through to finalisation. As part of submitting a claim, you will be required to complete a Verification of Identity (VOI) check to ensure that payments are made securely to you and not to anyone else.

Once your claim is lodged, your employer will automatically receive an email notifying them that a claim is awaiting their review.

Keeping all claim information within the Portal enhances the security of your personal and sensitive information.

Viewing and Exporting Your Statement of Service

You can view and export your full Statement of Service through the Portal. This updated version includes itemised quarterly returns and any periods of de-registered service for times when you were inactive in the Western Australian construction industry.

Uploading Your Interstate Service Online

The Portal allows you to upload your interstate Statement of Service. Providing this information helps us review your service history and preserve your account if required.

Lodging a Missing Service Enquiry

You can now lodge missing service enquiries online through the Portal, allowing us to capture the necessary information and investigate potential gaps in your recorded service.

What are the Employer Portal changes?

New Online Claim Approval Process

Workers will submit their long service leave claims through their Worker Portal.

You will receive an email when a claim requires your review, and you will be able to approve or reject it through the Employer Portal.

Centralising claim information in the portal helps safeguard sensitive information.

Key Changes to Employer Returns

The new Portal introduces a three-step process for completing your quarterly returns:

Step 1 – Update Your Workers

  • You will need to update your workers’ details before completing your Return.
    • You can add, update, or cease workers at any time.
    • Workers without a cease date will automatically appear on your next Return until a cease date is entered.

Step 2 – Prepare and Lodge Your Return

  • This step is only available when Returns are due.
    • After updating worker details, all active workers (i.e. those without a cease date before the start of the quarter) will pre‑populate to your Return.
    • You will only need to enter the days worked in the quarter and the average ordinary pay for each worker.

Step 3 – Pay Invoice

An invoice will be generated and made available in the portal for payment of contributions. You will be notified by email once this is ready.

Your quarterly obligation is complete only once all three steps have been finalised.

Spreadsheet Upload Option for Larger Employers

Employers with 20 or more workers will have the option to update workers and populate Returns using a spreadsheet.

This allows you to prepare your data offline at your convenience and upload it once finalised.

Improved Data Validation

To ensure accurate entitlements for workers, the new system includes enhanced validation rules in both the Worker Update and Return processes.

While this may create slightly longer processing times for employers with large uploads, it ensures greater accuracy and reduces the risk of errors.

Apprentice and Trainee Wages

The Return will now require additional information for apprentices and trainees, including training contract details (start and end dates).

Employers will need to submit ordinary pay for apprentices and trainees to assist MyLeave with liability management.

No contributions will be charged for eligible apprentices or trainees.

Daily Ordinary Pay

Ordinary pay will now be submitted as the average daily ordinary pay for the quarter rather than the total quarterly ordinary pay.

This change helps ensure accuracy and prevents overstated ordinary pay caused by low reported days. Overstated ordinary pay can impact MyLeave’s overall liabilities and increase the levy charged to employers.

Guidelines for how ordinary pay is determined for full time, part time and casual workers can be accessed on our website at Ordinary Pay.

Self‑Service Features

The new platform gives you greater access to your information in one place, including:

  • Your previously lodged Returns
  • Details of your registered workers
  • Claims you have approved or rejected
  • Recovery claims you have submitted
  • Invoices for amounts owing and any credit notes owed to you
  • Management of your business details and delegated users associated with your employer account
  • Access to multiple registered businesses under the same user login (where your business has more than one account).
