What if I would like to donate to a charity that is not listed?

We recognise the valuable contribution charities make across Western Australia. If you have a preferred charity that is not listed, you can still claim the payment yourself and donate to the charity of your choice directly

Is the donation optional?

Yes. Donating your Fuel Support Payment is voluntary.

Can I change my decision after I donate?

No. Once a selection has been submitted, you cannot change your decision. Claimants should ensure they are comfortable with their choice before confirming.

Will I receive a receipt for my donation?

No. A receipt will not be provided if you choose the donation option in the ServiceWA app.

If you would like to claim a tax deduction for your donation, you should claim the Fuel Support Payment yourself and donate to an organisation directly.

Why has a donation option been included?

Donation is an option which provides eligible claimants with a choice if they do not wish to receive the payment.

I am claiming the Fuel Support Payment via the alternative channels. Can I still donate?

Yes, the alternative claim channels will also have the option to donate your Fuel Support Payment to charity.
