Apply for emergency management funding

We administer grant programs to help reduce risk from natural hazards and make Western Australia more resilient to disasters.
Last updated:

Natural hazards occur often in WA. These events become disasters if they result in major consequences for our state’s communities, people, economy or environment.

To reduce the risk of disasters we need a collaborative approach to preventing disasters, managing their effects, and recovering from them. This approach recognises that everyone in WA shares responsibility for managing disaster risk.

The State Emergency Management Committee (SEMC) oversees the distribution of grant funding to support activities that reduce disaster risk and enhance WA’s resilience to disasters.
