Stage 3 in developing and implementing a code of conduct

Consult on the draft code to make sure it is on the right track and all relevant legal and ethical requirements are covered.

Assess the draft against the Code of Conduct Checklist before consulting.

Seek feedback from those who provided input at stage 1. Give the senior leadership team, identified external stakeholders and staff groups the draft and ask for ‘show stoppers’ and gaps.

In finalising the draft be open to changes and consider other suggestions during consultation so the code is the best it can be for the circumstances at the time.
