Recognition of interstate accreditation to assess high risk work

Application to have an interstate high risk work assessor accreditation recognised in Western Australia.

Option 1:

If you already have a licence issued by another Australian State or Territory or New Zealand and you want to transfer your licence to WA, refer to mutual recognition.

Option 2:

Apply for new interstate assessor accreditation.

You'll need 

  • A copy of your interstate high risk work assessor accreditation.
  • A letter from an RTO confirming you will be engaged to complete high risk work competency assessments of the relevant class/es in association with the RTO delivering the training in WA.
  • Proof of identification (1 primary document, or at least 3 secondary documents)

Conditions of accreditation

Accredited assessors must comply with the provisions of the Work Health and Safety Act 2020, Work Health and Safety (General) Regulations 2022, and the conditions of accreditation.

Compliance requirements

Notifications

Accredited assessors are required to notify WorkSafe before any assessment is conducted. Notifications are required to be made using an online form.

Maintenance of Experience

Assessors must maintain their competency to assess each class of work they are accredited in. Accreditation will not be renewed if competency is not maintained.
