Why can't I submit/approve a change of agent request?
This function will be available in Online Duties from 6 February 2026.
If settlement has not been completed, the Releasing Party must void the certificate and ensure the bundle status is Assessed before a Change of Agent request can be submitted or approved.
If an EVR is pending, the Releasing Party will need to cancel the EVR and modify the transaction to show that the parties are not related. Once this is done, the transaction status will be updated to Assessed and you can then submit or approve a Change of Agent request. After completing the transfer, the Receiving Party must modify the transaction to show that the parties are related and to request a new EVR.
If a bundle has an ‘Action Required’ status, the Releasing party will need to modify the transaction to show that the parties are not related. The transaction status will be updated to Assessed and you can then submit or approve a Change of Agent request.
