Murray hydrological studies - Acid sulfate soil risk assessment and hydrochemistry

Technical Report
Risk assessment of acid sulfate soil disturbance resulting from predicted changes to climate, topography and drainage, and an investigation of the groundwater and wetland hydrochemistry.
Last updated:

The final report focuses on acid sulfate soil risk assessment and hydrochemistry.

The acid sulfate study examined the risk that potential acid sulfate soils will develop into actual acid sulfate soils by using a variety of climatic, drainage and groundwater abstraction scenarios.

The hydrochemistry study was undertaken to investigate water-rock interactions, discover regional patterns in groundwater quality and better understand groundwater hydrodynamics.
