Governance requirements for Agencies to comply with the Procurement Rules.

The Western Australian Procurement Rule F – Agency Obligations require State agencies to maintain internal processes and procedures to support compliance with the Rules.

Section F of the Rules also requires State agencies to:

  • assign responsibility for procurement to officers with skills commensurate to the value, risk and complexity of the activity
  • establish and maintain a:
    • delegation and authorisation register
    • exemption register
    • contracts register
  • undertake a strategic forward procurement planning exercise annually
  • be responsive to complaints
  • put in place measures to ensure that contracts are managed appropriately.

In addition, for works procurements, a project bank account must be implemented.
