Published hydrogeological report series

We publish technical reports on completed groundwater studies in three categories:

• Hydrogeological Record (HG) – technical reports on individual groundwater projects, including numerical groundwater models
• Hydrogeological Bulletin (HB) – comprehensive reports on a sedimentary basin with the results of all known projects within the basin at the time of publishing
• Hydrogeological Maps (SHM) and explanatory notes (HM) – maps outlining the geology and hydrogeological resources of an area with separate explanatory notes.

Unpublished hydrogeological report series

We also produce hydrogeological reports (HR) that we do not publish. You can access most HR reports on request. Some contain information that cannot be released under the Rights in Water and Irrigation Act 1914.
