About us

We play a vital role in looking after our state's natural treasures, with responsibility for the management of parks, reserves, and forests to ensure plants, animals and ecosystems are protected. We also work closely with Aboriginal communities to preserve their culture and heritage.

As guardians of WA's diverse landscapes, we focus on wildlife conservation, responsible recreation, and tourism, all while keeping communities safe from bushfires. Our dedicated team manages and protects over 31 million hectares of land and marine waters, ranging from ancient forests to outback regions.

Joining us means becoming part of a passionate community made up of heritage officers, human resource specialists, rangers, scientists, conservation officers, accountants, policy officers and many more. Working with us is both rewarding and impactful.

We encourage applications from students in regional and remote areas as we have regional offices located around the state and are hoping to be able to offer traineeships in those offices.
