Aboriginal Procurement Policy - Agency Aboriginal Procurement Plans

Guidance
Guidance: This Guide and Template assist WA Government agencies to develop Agency Aboriginal Procurement Plans (AAPPs) required by the Aboriginal Procurement Policy (APP).
Last updated:

The APP requires agencies to develop an Agency Aboriginal Procurement Plan (AAPP) and submit it to the Department of Treasury and Finance annually as part of the Strategic Forward Procurement Plan process. The agency’s Accountable Authority is required to endorse and approve the AAPP before it is submitted.

The AAPPs ensure agencies adopt a strategic approach to contracting with Aboriginal suppliers that is aligned with the Aboriginal Empowerment Strategy – Western Australia 2021-2029, which calls for genuine partnerships and engagement with Aboriginal people, strong accountability and culturally responsive ways of working.

A template and guideline have been developed to assist agencies to develop AAPPs.
