Lodge unclaimed money with Treasury

In January each year, organisations must provide Department of Treasury (Treasury) with a summary of the unclaimed monies they hold.

The purpose of the Unclaimed Money Act 1990 (the Act) is to protect the interests of people due monies that they may have forgotten about.

Under the Act, Western Australian organisations (e.g. businesses, government agencies) must comply with the prescribed process through which they transfer monies they owe to another organisation or person to Treasury.

Organisations can complete the notification template and then email or mail the template.
