Governance Manual for Western Australian Government Boards and Committees

Guidance
Practical information for boards and committees.
Last updated:

Members of WA Government boards and committees operate in the public sector environment in terms of accountability, management, policy development and service delivery. This manual has practical information for members to help them carry out their responsibilities with the highest level of governance and integrity.

It goes through the 7 principles of governance and how they can be put into tangible actions as well as codes of ethics and conduct; conflicts of interest; gift, benefits and hospitality; and misconduct.

Samples, examples, templates and ‘how to’ documents can be used or adapted to suit the particular context of a board or committee. These are included in the manual and also accessible separately so they can be tailored.
