A leadership development program stretching the minds and actions of Level 8 high-performers

Program kick off

The first day will explore participant goals and identify the outcomes of the 8 month program. Participants will discover key elements of adult learning theory and how this knowledge can be harnessed to enhance learning outcomes.

1. The Egoless Leader

When held in check, a leader’s ego can help with self-confidence and allow them to play to their strengths.

However, leaders with an overactive ego can negatively affect those around them. They often struggle to adapt to new circumstances, put their own agenda first, seek to control situations, have a blame culture and stunt the growth of others.

This 2-day face-to-face workshop explores how adaptive leadership creates space for others to learn, and enables leaders to grow and flourish. Participants discover leadership is a lot easier when maximising the strengths of others and working collectively instead of independently.

On completion of the experience, participants:

  • understand the new world of work and how it is changing
  • can identify what habits, beliefs and mindsets need to be unlearnt to evolve
  • have the courage and confidence to embrace fear and failure
  • know how to become adaptive leaders and build a growth mindset
  • know how to influence others and lead alongside teams for maximum impact.

2. The Cultural Leader

Modern leaders need a keen sense of intercultural understanding from both an individual and organisational point of view.

Leaders who recognise their own culturally driven values and beliefs – and how these influence their interactions with others – can build stronger relationships and develop flexibility to lead in a culturally diverse environment. From an organisational perspective, leaders who create a strong organisation culture can improve performance, align values with employees, and build trust and integrity.

This 2-day face-to-face workshop examines the concept of culture through an individual and organisational lens. Participants explore how working with multiple cultures can break down barriers, build relationships and increase connections. This increases understanding of the way organisation culture can manifest itself and the impact of leaders on creating and maintaining organisation culture.

On completion of the experience, participants can:

  • positively challenge cultural and individual assumptions in the workplace
  • manage cultural diversity using new skills, mindsets and behaviours
  • build cultural relationships
  • strengthen organisation culture, and influence internal and external environments.

3. The Insightful Leader

Harnessing strategic insight is imperative in our quickly changing environments. By keeping up with current and future trends through environmental scanning and by understanding the driving forces of change, leaders better anticipate the impact on their workplace and strategic outcomes. By developing their strategic insight, leaders anticipate possible problems and risks, and develop viable solutions.

This 2 day face to face workshop enhances leaders’ ability to develop their strategic insight when scanning and interacting in a complex operating environment. This session recognises that strategically insightful leaders possess characteristics beyond position or job role. They recognise there is always more to the story and invest time researching, understanding and future proofing the context in which they work.

On completion of the experience, participants will:

  • analyse the impacts of emerging environmental trends
  • determine emergent societal, government and legislative trends that may impact on the future viability of their agencies
  • approach issues and problems systematically, considering multiple perspectives.

4. The Progressive Leader

Effective leaders simplify complexity for those they lead by understanding and interpreting challenges, problems and opportunities. By identifying problems and using practical ideation techniques, leaders create an environment of continuous improvement.

This highly practical 2-day face-to-face workshop explores how leaders tackle current problems by looking at the broader picture, seeking continuous improvement and understanding people’s response to change.

On completion of the experience, participants can:

  • recognise the complexity of current problems and prioritise required actions
  • use different idea creation techniques
  • drive a culture of continuous improvement
  • analyse how individuals react to change.
