Approving or declining a request

How to request authorisation to act on behalf of a business or another entity with the WARAM.

A representative can submit a request to act on behalf of a business however a request cannot be submitted to act on behalf of another person.

Once their request has been approved by an administrator, the representative will then receive authorisation to act on behalf of that business.

An administrator is a person who has previously been authorised to administer the authorisations relating to the business (as a “Service Administrator”).

You can obtain administrator authorisation by submitting your own request. Please be aware that you may be asked to provide proof that you are allowed to act on behalf of the requested business.

Once your authorisation is approved, you may then approve or decline other requests.

Requests expire after 30 days.

To approve or decline a request for a person to act on behalf of your entity i.e. your business or volunteer organisation:

  • sign into the WARAM;
    • ensure you have been authorised to administer the business. If you do not have the necessary authorisation access you will need to submit a request and wait until your request is approved before continuing.
  • if there are pending requests, the “Pending requests” notification will appear on the dashboard under the “Welcome” section;
  • choose ”Pending requests”, on the “My dashboard” page;
  • find and review the appropriate request;
  • you can either decline the request or modify the details of the request and then approve;
  • the process is complete when the “Acknowledgement” page is displayed. The requestor will then be notified of the decision.

Step-by-step help with screenshots can be found under “WA Relationship Authorisation Manager User Guide – Approving or declining a request".
