This Direction requires State agencies to include a special condition in all ongoing contracts for cleaning and security services (valued $50,000 or above), except where services are to be undertaken in schools and hospitals.
The Direction seeks to provide workers on Government contracts for cleaning and security services with access to an annual paid information session, to ensure that they are properly advised of their employment rights.
