Projects delivered through the Pilbara Environmental Offsets Fund

We are developing long-term collaborative projects which deliver ecological outcomes and support Traditional Owners to access and care for Country.

The Pilbara Environmental Offsets Fund was established to combine multiple offset payments to enable larger and more landscape-scale conservation projects to be delivered. All projects must relate to the environmental matters that are required to be offset, be on-ground focused, and have long-term and enduring benefits for biodiversity and local people.

Achieving this requires the collaboration of multiple parties, across different land tenures to collaboratively deliver conservation programs and in doing so foster opportunities for training, capacity building, access, decision-making and management of Country over the long term.

We use the co-design approach below, and priorities and guidance in the implementation and vegetation investment plans, to develop long-term collaborative projects which deliver ecological outcomes and support Traditional Owners to access and care for Country.
