Corporate Services functions across the department can range from recruiting, paying and managing people to delivering essential goods and services, preparing budgets, managing finances and systems and information to delivering and managing resources, ICT and infrastructure.
The business function within schools involves carrying out these activities, in line with the Department’s policies and processes.

About the program
Kickstart your career with our new and exciting corporate services support program! From day one you will do real, meaningful work that makes a difference.
You will participate in an accelerated training program rotating through central services and school sites, gaining hands on experience in areas such as finance and finance systems, human resources, information and communication technologies, and school and student administration.
Our program is more than just a job – it’s a chance to develop skills, grow your network and get expert guidance. With mentoring, peer networks and professional development opportunities, you build confidence and leadership skills.
This program provides the foundational knowledge and skills and pathways to a vast array of career opportunities within schools or central and regional offices.

What we’re looking for in candidates
- Having a University, TAFE or other vocational training qualification is desirable but not essential
- Demonstrate adaptability, agility and resilience

- Enthusiastic and eager to learn

Applications for our 2026 Corporate Services Support Program are now open and close Tuesday 3 March 4:30 pm.
To work with us, you must:
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and be awarded a screening clearance number from the department.
- obtain a Working with Children Check.
